At Summer Game Fest, we had the opportunity to explore Parcel Corps, an upcoming delivery-based game by BillyGoat Entertainment. After delivering packages to doorsteps, we discussed the game's mechanics and objectives with director Will Barr.

Barr appears to have a specific message with Parcel Corps. The game is a satire on the gig economy, which has surged with platforms like Uber Eats and Amazon Prime.

Being in the creative industries and video game development, Barr is familiar with the gig economy, where one often struggles between jobs. Barr expressed empathy with those in the services industry.

The game humorously reflects this reality. After completing a mission, players receive a score summary showing their earnings. However, deductions soon follow, leaving nearly nothing.
